Gauraaj
Gauraaj (Gauraaj Valley Foods) sells pure, handmade mountain products like flavoured salt, tea and pickles, prepared by women from the hills using traditional methods. The website lets customers browse the collection by category, view product details, save items to a wishlist, add them to the cart and place an order that is delivered to their home. It also tells the brand story, features customer testimonials, an Instagram reels section, FAQs and a blog called Voice of the Valley, and offers a B2B enquiry option for bulk buyers.

The problem
Handmade products from the hills are hard to sell without a trusted online presence. Buyers want to know who makes the food, how it is made and whether it is pure, and small producers have little reach beyond local markets. Gauraaj needed its own store that tells the story of the women behind the products, builds trust in their quality, and lets customers order directly and get products delivered to their door.
Goals
- Present handmade Himalayan products with clear photos and descriptions
- Build trust through brand story, quality badges, FAQs and testimonials
- Give customers a simple flow to browse, add to cart and order online
- Deliver products to customers’ homes across India
- Highlight the women producers and the social impact of the brand
- Support repeat shopping with wishlist and user accounts
- Serve bulk buyers through a B2B enquiry option
Solution & implementation
I built the Gauraaj online store with Next.js. The home page opens with banners and trust badges such as All Natural, Pesticide Free, Single Origin and Uplifting Women, followed by the product collection with Best Seller, New Launch and Seasonal Favorites tabs. Customers can browse products and categories, save favourites to a wishlist, manage their cart and account, and place orders for home delivery. Brand story, blog, testimonials, FAQs and an Instagram reels section build trust, while Terms, Privacy, Cancellation & Refund and Shipping & Delivery pages cover store policies. The site uses optimised images, SEO-ready titles and descriptions, and a responsive layout.
