Burra Bungalow
Burra Bungalow is a private bungalow stay in Mussoorie, set in the hills and suited to families and groups looking for a quiet, homely getaway. The website introduces the property, shows its rooms, amenities and surroundings, and gives guests a simple way to get in touch and plan their stay. It is built as a fast, lightweight static site so visitors can see the place and contact the host without any complicated booking steps.

The problem
A single-property rental in a popular hill station competes with large travel portals, where commission cuts earnings and the host has little control over how the property is shown. Burra Bungalow needed its own website that presents the place clearly, builds trust with photos and details, and lets guests reach the host directly.
Goals
- Present the bungalow, its rooms and its setting attractively
- Give guests clear information on amenities and stay details
- Let guests contact the host directly, without a middleman
- Build trust with photos, clear contact details and (confirm) guest reviews
- Help guests plan with information about Mussoorie and nearby places (confirm)
- Reduce dependence on travel portals and their commission
- Keep the site fast and simple to maintain
- Offer a responsive experience on mobile and desktop
Solution & implementation
I built the Burra Bungalow website as a static React site, which keeps it fast, lightweight and cheap to host. The layout is clean and photo-led so the property is the main focus, with sections for the bungalow, its rooms and amenities, and a clear way to contact the host. (confirm: gallery, enquiry form, WhatsApp button, map, reviews.) The site is fully responsive for guests browsing on phones.
